Curmi & Partners Limited - Who are we?

Formerly Inter Finance Limited, Curmi & Partners was originally formed in January 1978 to provide investment consultancy services to private individuals. Though one of the longest established and now leading financial services provider, Curmi & Partners Ltd remains a focused and essentially low profile operation aimed solely at giving a highly personal yet professional service. Throughout the years this has remained the single most important factor driving the company forward, thereby ensuring that clients' experience of the firm is a positive one.

This stems from two crucial elements Firstly our understanding of our clients' financial needs. This is central to the provision of good advice. Secondly our knowledge of the instruments available ensures that we are able to match the requirements of each client to the investment instrument. Our totally independent research, especially on the local market is further designed to give a completely unbiased opinion of the facts as they are and our interpretation of such facts.˜

Today Curmi & Partners is one of the few totally independent investment firms employing 14 staff members all operating from its central Ta' Xbiex office and offers the following services:

1) Discretionary Portfolio Management

For those clients who wish to take one step back in the knowledge that their retirement funds are being managed by experts we offer a totally confidential yet transparent approach to investment. Our internal analysts cover the three main investment instruments - bonds / fixed interest securities, equities / shares and collective investment schemes. According to the clients' risk profile we will devise a strategy aimed at maximising the returns while limiting risk. We will be responsible for all investment decisions within pre agreed parameters, but each client will be kept informed through regular valuations and the issue of contract notes for each investment decision taken.

2) Non Discretionary Portfolio Management

Whilst covering the same securities and strategies highlighted above, the significant difference here lies with the investment decision-making process. Decisions are made by the client, although we will clearly guide you through the myriad of investment options and strategies available giving you clear advice on what we believe is appropriate for you.

3) Corporate Finance

Our role is significant by any standards as we have been responsible for a large number of companies listed on the Malta Stock Exchange (both through our previous company Curmi & Mallia Stockbrokers Limited and the present one). We believe that our experience in this field and the backing of our highly qualified research team puts us amongst the leaders in the sector.
